Invesco's announcement
On March 15, 2026, Invesco officially reduced the TER of WPEA (Invesco MSCI World UCITS ETF Acc) from 0.20% to 0.19% per year. The reduction is effective immediately for all existing shareholders, no action required.
WPEA becomes the lowest-cost PEA-eligible World ETF available on Euronext Paris, ahead of Amundi (CW8 at 0.38%) and BNP Paribas Easy (DCAM at 0.38%).
20-year impact
The 0.01% difference is symbolic in the short term but illustrates the fee war between issuers. On a €10,000 initial investment at 7% gross annual return:
| Scenario | Capital at 20 years |
|---|---|
| No fees (reference) | €38,697 |
| WPEA 0.19% | €37,337 |
| WPEA 0.20% (previous) | €37,275 |
| CW8 0.38% | €35,996 |
Indicative simulation. Does not account for taxes or brokerage fees. Hypothetical 7% gross annual return.
WPEA vs CW8 today
The TER gap between WPEA (0.19%) and CW8 (0.38%) is now 0.19 percentage points, roughly €1,341 difference over 20 years on €10,000. For DCA investors with regular contributions, the cumulative gap is even more significant.
Our take
For new PEA investors in 2026, WPEA is the rational choice. For those already holding a significant CW8 position, switching doesn't justify the transaction costs.
